POLITRICKS: Uduaghan Makes a Secret Pact with Ogboru

Delta State Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has allegedly made a secret pact with the Delta State Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Great Ovedje Ogboru, to deliver him as the next Governor of the State.
According to Secret Reporters, in a meeting held early last week at the residence of the opposition leader in Abraka, Ogboru revealed to his followers about this top secret agreement.
“Ogboru told us that Uduaghan is supporting him not just politically, but financially. I can tell you that Okowa is not been supported by the governor, as Ogboru told us so. I don’t understand this kind of politics but Great sounded so convincing to us,” said a source that was at the meeting.
It is further alleged that Uduaghan has extracted promises from Ogboru that he would not probe nor investigate any illegal dealings of his administration. It is also alleged that Ogboru agreed that he would dump the LP for the PDP three months after emerging as Delta State Governor.
This revelation will shock many Anioma indigenes and the State party faithful who have erroneously believed that the Itsekiri born Governor is all for the candidacy of Dr Okowa. As a PDP governor, Uduaghan is bound by the party’s constitution to ensure that a PDP candidate wins the election, and has been handed over the Campaign Structure of Okowa where many of his loyalists, some of whom are serving and former Commissioners in his government, hold strategic positions. Uduaghan has equally deployed a humongous amount of the State resources in Okowa’s Campaign. Why he is throwing all away by secretly working for Ogboru is any body’s guess.
This is not the first time that Governor Uduaghan will be turning his back on the Anioma people, and throwing spanner in the works of their life-long aspiration to produce the governor of the State. In the run up to the PDP governorship primary elections, Uduaghan had projected Sir Tony Obuh as his preferred candidate and had backed his candidacy with pricely sum of over N10 billion war chest only to abandon him just few days to the primary elections when he (Uduaghan) endorsed the governorship candidacy of David Edevbie.
He then deceived the Project Obuh team led by Nduka Obaigbena into believing that despite the endorsement Obuh was still his anointed candidate and that his public show of support for Edevbie was part of the political game plan to keep Delta North’s Hope for Governor Alive. It was revealed to be a big lie when Obuh came out of the primary elections badly bruised with mere 5 votes. It was only by divine intervention that Dr Ifeanyi Okowa had convincingly beaten Edevbie to pick the party’s governorship ticket and fly the Anioma flag.
