PDP Govt plunges Delta into colossal debt of N700 billion-APC

The Chairman of Delta State Caucus Council of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Hyacinth Enuha has said that Peoples Democratic Party government PDP led by governor Ifeanyi Okowa has plunged the state into colossal debt to the tune of about N700 billion with a propensity for more loan.

Engr. Enuha stated this in Asaba shortly after the inauguration of APC 14 Committees in preparation for the 2019 governorship elections. APC Caucus Council Chairman asserted that APC in the state in now poised to take over the reigns of power from and inept and corrupt PDP government.

Inaugurating the committees at the Party General Meeting, the South-South Chairman of APC, Mr. Ita Ayo charged members to work hard to ensure victory in the forth coming elections in the state. He urged the elders of the party to make their contributions and to impact the people positively saying “every one must leave a legacy for the party”.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Minister of State for Petroleum and a member of the State elders caucus, Dr Ibe Kachikwu congratulated the party for the existing peace and charged them to sustain the peace.

Dr. Kachukwu said that it would take the collective responsibility of the elders and all members of the party to maintain the existing peace and to deliver on the national mandate to produce the next governor in 2019.

In his address, State APC Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue, charged members to reach out to win more souls for the party. Erue however, called on the leaders of the party to go down to their units, wards and local government and work for the party to enable it win the governorship election in 2019.

He apologised to aggrieved members to forgive, sheath their swords and return to the party while assuring them of purposeful leadership to victory.
