Ochei Declares to Run for Governor of Delta, Submits PDP Nomination Form

Rt. Hon Victor Ochei has formally declared his intention to succeed Dr. Emmanuel Udughan as Delta Governor in 2015 by submitting his People’s Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form in the Abuja secretariat of the party today, Thursday, 6 November 2014.
At hand to receive Ochei’s formal declaration of intent in Delta gubernatorial primaries, slated for 29 November 2014, was the party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha in his Wadata Plaza office.
The train of thousands of Ochei’s supporters, who braved the hundreds of miles journey from Delta State and all over the country, were in rapturous delight when the former speaker of Delta State House of Assembly arrived at exactly 12 noon to keep his appointment.
He told waiting reporters that his mission was to formally register his interest with the ruling party, and promised to provide a leadership that would bring Delta State and her vibrant people to a desired end and make the party proud. He then called on his supporters and all Deltans at home and in Diaspora to gear up for an eruption of creative endeavour that his quest for government house would unleash.
“Delta deserve the best, the better prepared and the best equipped intellectually, morally, technically and spiritually to deliver development for our people at this critical time. I am formally declaring my intention to seek the party flag upon the submission of my expression of interest and nomination forms by the special grace of God,” he said.

Rt. Hon Ochei made his declaration after the formalities at Wadata Plaza when Chief Chika Cheijine, Chairman/CEO Savannah Group Abuja, hosted the Speaker emeritus to a civic reception in his Abuja home. Dignitaries in attendance included Chief Uche Okpuno of ULO Group, Chief A.C Okocha, Rtd. Gen Iweze, Barr. Ms. Bekere Clark, Hon Olorogun George Oyefia, Barr. Mrs Kachikwu, Mrs Uche Shirley Njoku
