We Fight No More: Nigeria, Boko Haram Call a Truce
Boko Haram – Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, said today, Friday 17 October 2014 that Nigerian military has agreed truce with Boko Haram. And that the abducted schoolgirls will be released.
Mr. Badeh has also ordered all field officers to comply with the agreement immediately.
This immediate ceasefire will be seen by many apprehensive Nigerians as a major break-through.
On 2 October 2014, XCLUSIVE Magazine reported that the leader of the Islamic fundamentalist Abubakar Shekau has rubbished the claim by Nigerian military that he has been killed as propaganda.
“Here I am, alive. I will only die the day Allah takes my breath,” he said. He spoke for 16 minutes in Arabic and the Hausa language in a video.
