Myles Munroe of Bahamas Faith Ministries International and his wife Ruth died in a plane crash late Sunday in the Bahamas.

According to The Associated Press, the plane, Lear 36 executive jet, reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard, exploding on impact and crashing into the ground near a junkyard area, killing the influential pastor and all other eight people on board. The identities of the other seven people have not yet been confirmed.

The senior pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries International Fellowship, 60, and his wife were in Grand Bahama for his 2014 Global Leadership Forum, which starts tomorrow, 10 November 2014. More than 200 people are expected to attend the week-long forum. According to the Ministry’s Facebook account, the Leadership Forum will continue, “as this is what Dr. Myles Munroe would’ve wanted.”

The Prominent Nigerian and Africa’s richest woman Mrs. Folorunso Alakija is one of the speakers at the leadership forum.

Myles and Ann Monroe had two children: Charisa (daughter) and Chairo (Myles Jr.) Munroe.
