Governor Dickson Invades Court with thugs
Out-of-Control: Governor of Bayelsa State Seriake Dickson
Charity they say begins at home, but when the Elders who preach the word are found wanting, then the Youths have been saddled with the responsibility of calling them to order; now this is the case of a serving Governor in the federal Republic of Nigeria! A Governor who knows the intricacies of the Law, not as a hobby but because he is also a Lawyer, who has been called to the Nigerian Bar Association, this is none other than the Governor of Bayelsa State Seriake Dickson.

Hell was let loose on Monday, 30 March 2015 in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State when Governor Seriake Dickson with his thugs and over 100 policemen invaded at a Federal High Court on Capt. Amangala road, supposedly to truncate an on-going political party’s (PDP) case which his candidate was a Party.
An eye witness, a lawyer who was present in court but asked not to be named, told Xclusive Magazine that several innocent lawyers in the court were viciously assaulted including a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and pregnant lawyer who was pushed into a gutter. She was carried away bleeding.
We understand that while the Chief Detail of the Governor with thugs was wreaking havoc on the court, the Governor was outside the court, after he had caused the Judge to rise that he wanted to see him, shouting that the Judge should not be sitting on a matter that the Defendants were not present and that the matter is a fight to finish between himself and the first Lady Patience Jonathan over the Senatorial seat.
“Governor Dickson had come thinking the court was sitting on the suit between Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and Foster Ogola, in which Senator, Lokpobiri is challenging the choice of Ogola in the court as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Bayelsa West Senatorial district of the state. But unknown to, the matter that the court was hearing was an oil spillage case by the Ijaw Aborigines against Shell Petroleum Development Company.” the eye witness said.
It could be recalled that the Governor and the wife of the out-going President have been on the path of war for a while, so much that their animosity towards each other has affected the cordial relationship between the Governor and President Goodluck Jonathan.
Meanwhile, Seriake Dickson has allegedly used his power and office to disrupt a number of the President’s campaign in the state and also to fire some of the loyalists of the first lady claiming they were disloyal.
Xclusive Magazine understands that one of the lawyers in court has already reported the matter to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and has requested that the NBA immediately commence investigation into the matter towards bringing a disciplinary action against the Governor. The lawyer has also requested that the National Judicial Council Nigeria commence investigation to determine the attack on the judiciary by hoodlums led by a serving Governor of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to protect the integrity Judiciary. The assaulted lawyers have resolved to approach the courts for reliefs individually and possibly collectively.
