Fashola made this request on Thursday, 7 May 2015 at the Government house in Ikeja during the 29th edition of his 100days in office programme. A programme that showcased his achievements in office during his two-term tenure in office.
The government, since inception, has always reviewed its activities every 100 days and the 29th edition was tagged 2900th day in office and, coincidentally, is the last of such under Fashola, whose tenure will end in the next 21 days.

He added that his decisions were always made in the best interest of the people, though some may feel hurt in the process.
Fashola pleaded with those who might have been offended in the process to forgive him since he was human and could also have made some mistakes in the process of carrying out his duties.
According to him: “Piloting the affairs of the state has been very challenging, but the cooperation of my team and residents have seen me through. In the last eight years, my administration has recorded strides that had impacted positively on the lives of residents”
Governor Fashola further said that looking at some of the achievements recorded in those sectors few days to the expiration of his tenure, he was almost sure the assessment of his government would be in the positive.
“I will not pretend to say I have done all the work, but I trust in the ability of the Governor-elect, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode to continue from where I stopped”
Fashola thanked all Lagosians for making his development agenda for the state a reality.
