Hon. Ndudi Elumelu is to declare to run for the office of the governor of Delta state on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. The declaration will take place 10.am at Oshimili South Arcade, Nnebisi Road Asaba.
In a statement released today, the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Health (former Chairman, House of Representative Committee on Power & Energy) said: “I believe that we can build our future in delta state together by sustaining Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan’s legacy as well as initiating additional developmental projects that can make life meaningful to every Deltan irrespective of our class, religion or ethnic background.”
Elumelu will slug it out at the State PDP primaries with other aspirants from Delta North namely Hon Victor Ochei, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Juliet Olejeme and Mr Tony Obuh, who have all backed their ambition to run for governor of the State by submitting their People’s Democratic Party (PDP) nomination forms.
An unwritten agreement within the Delta State PDP states that the governorship position of the state has been zoned to Delta North Senatorial zone. Delta State is a predominantly PDP State and any candidate that gets its ticket will comfortably coast home to victory.
