DSS Deny Alleged Dollars Recovery in CJN’s Account

Ultra secretive security agency, Department of State Services, DSS, are again enmeshed in a tango over an earlier claim from its agency that it recovered $9 million from the account of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen. Sahara Reporters had reported that operatives recovered $9m from the home of CJN during an operation. A contrary report circulated by a security agencies media portal now purports a denial by the DSS. Quoting a top source at the DSS, the report indicates that the earlier trending story on the operation was false in its entirety.

The source said: “The entire report claiming that DSS has found close to $9m in the account of the Chief Justice of the Federation is complete falsehood and baseless insinuation.

“In fact, there is no single operation or raid at any residence or home of the Chief Justice. The media and the public are kindly advised to ignore such reckless reports.

“It is unfortunate that some mischief makers may go to any length to fabricate stories to cause confusion in the polity,” said the informer.
