Chief Ogbodu, a two time House of Assembly Candidate, speaking at the country home of Hon Omimi Esquire at Egbokodo–Itsekiri, Warri South Local Government Area of the State, shortly after decamping with his followers, commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmental strides.

According to him: “My story is not about if you cannot beat them, you join them. I have seen with my eyes and need no one to preach to me about the prosperity mantra… It has really been a difficult decision considering the fact that my numerous followers might not heed but thank God, they have seen reasons to continue to follow me even to PDP”.

“There is no community in Delta State where there is no meaningful project courtesy of Governor Okowa. Some of my people, even as opposition benefited and hence I have come back to contribute my quota”, he said.

Welcoming the decampees, the Political Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Omimi Esquire thanked the State Chairman of the New Force Movement for Okowa who also doubles as the Delta State Environmental Sanitation Taskforce Chairman Comrade Kingsley Odiaka Iweka who facilitated the movement of Chief Ogbodu and his followers from Labour Party for his love for (PDP) and his continuous prosperity envagelism.

According to him, New Force Movement for Okowa is a true political support group to be reckoned with and urged them to continue winning souls for PDP as there is always a pay back time.

The Political Adviser promised Chief Felix Ogbodu and his followers that he would relate the development to the state PDP chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso so as for arrangements to be made for their formal declaration to the PDP.

“Indeed, no one sees light and walk into darkness. Governor Okowa has proved beyond reasonable doubt that it is possible to fight recession with prosperity. He has touched virtually all sectors and all we owe him is to stand by him to encourage and support him for him to continue to do more”, he said
