Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Fejiro Oliver and Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe

Who Is afraid of Fejiro Oliver? Okowa, Latimore & all that Jazz!

Delta State governor Ifeanyi Okowa has gone for broke in his fight with Fejiro Oliver, the publisher of an online media Secret Reporters. In a memo signed by Chief Security Officer, Government House Lawrence Ogoegbulem, Gov. Okowa has directed all security personnel not to grant Fejiro Oliver access to the “Government House without due authorisation from appropriate quarters.”

The banning order memo, a copy is with XCLUSIVE MAGAINE, warned security personnel to obey “strict compliance with this order.” No reason was given, however, it may not be unconnected with the consistent scathing attack on Gov. Okowa and his “ego aria” government by Fejiro Oliver and his recent running battle with the Executive Assistant on Communication to the Governor of Delta State, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe.

Asaba Airport, a Burial Ground?
Secret Reporters, in a news story titled, “ASABA AIRPORT BURIAL GROUND: GOV. OKOWA’S DECEPTIVE ACT TO DELTANS THROUGH HIS BUFFOONERY EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT ON COMMUNICATION LATIMORE”, came down heavily on Gov Okowa for the shabby work at the Asaba international Airport, and described the airport as “a burial ground.” This had not gone down well with Mr Oghenesivbe, who coupled together a hasty press release.

He denounced the news report as “odious” and insisted that it was not within “the professional routine or duty of SecretReporters to make public declarations on air or airport safety, upgrade assessments and certifications. That duty is squarely on the shoulders of accredited and recognised aviation regulatory bodies and or agencies; Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) not Fejiro Oliver and his unprofessional SecretReporters (whatever that name represents).”

Fejiro Oliver, who does not run away from any fight, had responded in kind by aiming at Latimore’s jugular. He claimed that Latimore was a fraud and an impostor, insisting authoritatively that the doctorate he had been parading and brandishing about was “fake, as he (Latimore) has never seen the four walls of the university to undergo a rigorous doctorate degree session.”

Oghenesivbe, right from his stint as Special Assistant to Hon Akpodiogaga Emeyse, Secretary of Akpodiogaga Sunny Emeyese Foundation (ASEF) and spokesman to Olorogun Otega Emerhor, is known for fighting dirty and using backhand tactics and uncouth language to throw darts at perceived political enemies of his principals. It is, therefore, not surprising that the banning order placed on Fejiro Oliver had come in such an unconventional and combative manner.

Although championed by Latimore, XCLUSIVE MAGAZINE gathered from sources inside the inner circle of Delta State government that the decision to ban Fejiro Oliver from the Delta State Government House was endorsed by three key officers: commissioner for Economic Planning Dr Kingsley Emu, Director of Protocol Ifeanyi Eboigbe and Secretary to Delta State Government, Chief Festus Agas, who all have had running battles with Fejiro Oliver at different points since 2015 that Okowa came to power.

Fejiro remains adamant, unwavering and unperturbed by this banning order. Describing Okowa as “Pharaoh in Delta Government House”, Fejiro Oliver told XCLUSIVE MAGAZINE that “NO ONE has EVER dictated for me then and it won’t start with Okowa’s government. It can be pasted right from the entrance of the Niger Bridge that Fejiro should not be allowed into Delta State again. It should be published in all the dailies.”

Fejiro Oliver and Vagabonds in Power
Fejiro Oliver, the enfant terrible of cyber journalism, shockingly bold and terrifyingly blunt, has had many brushes with governments, corporate bodies and highly placed political figures for exposing their misdemeanour and corrupt practices.

In 2014, Fejiro Oliver was abducted and imprisoned for 14 days by the government of Niger State for exposing the rots and corruption in Niger State for which Niger State Governor Babangida Muazu Aliyu had kidnapped and imprisoned him for 14 days. Fejiro would later take Niger State government to court and was awarded some damages.

Although on bail, Fejiro Oliver is currently in a fierce court battle with the struggling Nigerian Sterling Bank, having been arraigned in a Federal High Court Lagos on a five-count charge bothering on alleged acts of “Cyber Stalking”. He had published articles on Secret Reporters, exposing fraudulent activities at the Sterling Bank Corporate Headquarters between 2014 and 2015.

Also, Fejiro Oliver is Peter Nwaoboshi‘s nemesis. He caused the corrupt senator and self-style Oracle of Delta State politics to forfeit the 12-storey building, formerly known as Guinea House, located at 27 Marine Road, Apapa, Lagos to the federal government. Secret Reporters in conjunction with XCLUSIVE MAGAZINE had exposed how stingy Nwaoboshi had illicitly acquired an over 2 billion Naira worth of Delta State property for a paltry sum of N805 million.
