XCLUSIVE – Elections 2015: Boko Haram Disrupts Polls!

Voting as we speak might have been suspended in some parts of the nation as suspected men of the Boko Haram insurgence have attacked polling units in some states including Gombe, Yobe and Enugu.
According to the report from Yobe, the gunmen arrived at Ngalda, Fikala local government in Yobe state on a motorcycle numbering up to six and opened fire on voters at the polling unit. As at the time of the report, ten people are feared dead and many injured.
On the other hand in Gombe according to the intelligence gathered, the gunmen shouted at the electorates at the polling unit as they opened fire on them “Didn’t we warn you to stay away from the elections?” Two were reported to have died on the spot leaving others injured.
The case in Enugu is different as a bomb went off at the Women Training Center this morning. The state Commissioner confirmed the incidence and said that anti bomb squad were immediately invited to the scene and they were able to successfully detonate a second explosive found on the premises.
Meanwhile, relative peace has been recorded in other parts of the country!
