Nigerian Police React to Kate Henshaw Over Selfies With Evans

Abba Kyari, head of Intelligence Response Team, IRT, a covert unit in the office of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, has responded to recent attack by actress, Kate Henshaw, over selfies with kidnap kingpin, Evans.

Evans, Nigeria’s Most Notorious Kidnapper, is the leader of a highly organized kidnap for ransom syndicate and criminal gang that was responsible for the kidnap of several notable/prominent Nigerians. Evans used part of the $4m proceeds from four of his 13 captives in Lagos to acquire two mansions worth N300m in Magodo Phase II, another two houses in Accra, Ghana, exotic cars, expensive wristwatches and jewellery.

But reacting to the comment, Kyari insisted that the photos that made it to the social media of his team with Evans after capture were actual file copies of of IRT album which chronicles exploits of operatives in the covert unit.
The police said this while also debunking an earlier statement on social media which was a more acerbic attack on Henshaw.

On 20 June 2017, Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw had taken to her Twitter handle to pillory IRT over the conduct some plain clothes Nigerian Police officers who were posing for pictures with the notorious kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, AKA Evans after his arrest, lambasting them as unprofessional.

“I am too busy to respond to this type of trivial Issues. It is unfortunate that somebody goes extra length and spent several years chasing an extremely smart, notorious and deadly criminal terrorizing innocent citizens of this country for over 20 years and suddenly somebody ridicules you for your effort.

“The group picture we had with our biggest catch evans was meant to be in our Personal IRT Achievement Album not in the Social Media. Up until this moment we don’t know who sent it to the Social Media,” Kyari said.
