The Senior Special Assistant on Security Intelligence to the State Governor, Dr. B.S Abdulsalam, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday evening, noted that the suspects were arrested at a hideout in Baboko area of the metropolis.

He added that the suspects have since been handed over to the Anti-cultism Unit of the State’s Police Command for further interrogation. According to him, the arrested suspects would be arraigned after the conclusion of necessary investigation.

Abdulsalam vowed that the police would not relent in their renewed onslaught against cultists and other criminal elements in the State.

The governor’s aide also urged the people to ignore internet rumours of further cult related activities within Ilorin, as the police and other law enforcement agencies are fully on ground to protect lives and property.

He, however, appealed to members of the public to collaborate with the police and provide useful information that would assist police officers in fighting crimes in the State.

The SSA assured that the Ahmed administration would continue to support security operatives in their efforts to rid the State of criminal activities.
