Jonathan Holds Last Council Meeting, Passes Brown Envelope to Buhari

Nigerians are rather curious, and rightly so, as to the details of the ongoing state meeting and the contents of the brown envelope handed to the President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari by the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan during today’s Council of State meeting going on in Abuja.
According to a source at the meeting, Jonathan gave the envelope to Buhari (which the later placed on the table without opening) after a group photograph of the attendees, comprising all former Presidents and the incoming President including General Olusegun Obasanjo, who was conspicuously late to the meeting that started, according to reports, at about 12noon and scheduled to end at 2pm.
Today’s Council of State meeting is the last presided over by Jonathan as Nigeria’s president. Having lost his re-election bid, President Goodluck Jonathan would consequently attend subsequent meetings as former President!
Xclusive Magazine hopes to get the details of the meeting and very importantly, the contents of the envelope!
