The pastor was on Thursday, conferred with the award and key of the State of South Carolina which is a Honorary Citizenship by the state of South Carolina, United States of America.

Apostle Suleiman has been having run-in with security operatives and government over his outspokenness over herdsmen killings in the country. A lot of people in the corridors of power also feel that his views are not politically correct in a country fractious with ethnic and religious decide.

There has been other personal side to his controversies, too, after an international call girl and singer alleged that the cleric jilted her. But a large section believe that her claims were a set up, especially when counsel and spokesman for the call girl was Festus Keyamo, a ruling party stalwart and no less a controversial figure, himself.

But in California, Suleiman is treated to honours. His award of honorary citizenship took place at the Faithful Centre Bible Church, Inglewood, California where Apostle Suleman held the region’s edition of his ministry’s life-changing crusade with the theme: Help From Above”, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Leader of delegation and Rep., John Richard C. King said the honour, which is the highest given to non-residents of South Carolina was sequel to approval of the House of Representatives of the State in recognition of Apostle Suleman’s contribution to humanity.

“Apostle Suleman won this highest honor not only because he is noted as a great social worker with outstanding performances in outreach programmes but also his passion for giving without borders”
“Apostle Suleman is so privileged, because there are a lot of people out there who are equally blessed if not more but are not willing to do,” noted a member of the award committee.
