According to Adeyemi, the warning was not borne out of vacuum but is a product of anxiety and apprehension which has mounted from the persistent re occurrence of assassinations (or attempts) in the Nigerian polity which has re enforced the worries of all and sundry.

Adeniyi advised the PDP to lower the demonic wand or face unimaginable consequences. In his words he says; “let your demonic plot perish at the planning stage, otherwise its devastating effects would be unimaginable and unbearable” He continues by saying “Regardless of PDP and its hatchet men’s prsecutions, Asiwaju remains an idol, institution, pathfinder, and enigma in the country’s political terrain”

Reflecting on assassination in the country’s political culture, Adeniyi voiced that South West leads in unresolved political murder cases. According to him, “each of the deaths takes a momentary centre stage in national discussions and systematically fades away into a reclusive national sub-consciousness waiting for another gruesome murder to re-occur.”
