Hundreds of angry Agbor youths yesterday, October 9,2017 stormed the palace of the Dein of Agbor, His Royal Majesty Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekwuzi 1, in Ime-Obi, protesting against his continued stay in the United States of America at a very critical time that Agbor needs a rallying point.

The youths who were drawn from the various communities that make up Agbor kingdom said they are not happy that their king and the father of the entire Agbor people do not enjoy staying in his kingdom as he spends 95% of each year abroad.

XCLUSIVE MAGAZINE gathered that the angry Agbor youths, who abandoned their daily business to embark on the peaceful protest, declared that the royal father should decide whether to remain in foreign land or abdicate his throne.

In the words of the spokesman for the youths, Uche Nwokoro, “we are here to demand for the immediate return of our revered monarch from the United States of America. He cannot continue to rule us from another a white man’s land. This is alien to the Agbor people. We are great people and our kings were heroes. We will not allow anything that will relegate us among famous kingdoms of the world.

“If our Dein, our Baba is not ready to rule again he should tell us rather than remaining in the United States. We love him,we need him,he is our pride, hence,we are calling on him to come back home and build his kingdom. We are fully prepared to support him to move our kingdom forward. If he loves us as his children he should come back home.”

Speaking on behalf of the palace, Chief Charles Nenyiaba appealed to the youths to be calm and go about their normal businesses as their demand will be presented before the Dein.

The Agbor youths after some hours at the palace left for their various communities but promised to come back if the Dein fails to return from abroad soon.
